Kevin Tan: A Rising Star in the World of Piano

Kevin Tan was born in Beijing in 2010 and is currently studying at The Purcell School for Young Musicians in the United Kingdom. He has been awarded the ABRSM LLCM Diploma with Distinction in Piano Performance, a qualification equivalent to undergraduate level.

An award-winning young pianist, Kevin has received prizes at numerous international piano competitions in the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Romania, and beyond. From the age of fourteen, he began touring internationally. To date, he has given or participated in nearly thirty solo recitals and concerto performances across the United Kingdom, China, Germany, Romania, Austria, Norway, and the Czech Republic. At the age of fifteen, he performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Vienna Musikverein and the Berlin Philharmonie, where he was warmly received by audiences and distinguished orchestras.

In 2026, Kevin Tan will continue to expand his international performance presence with a series of solo recitals in the United Kingdom, China, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Italy. One of the major highlights of the year will take place on 24 July 2026, when he will perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor” in Beijing with the China National Opera House Symphony Orchestra. This collaboration reflects the significant recognition he has gained within China’s mainstream classical music scene. On 7 September 2026, he will also appear at Cadogan Hall in London with the English Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
